Concept Development | Project Management | Branding
Work as part of a group to develop and implement a concept for AI generated art to be marketed and displayed by the Ferris State Fine Art Gallery.
Creating a Concept
Our group was split into two teams to develop two different concepts for presentation to the gallery director.
My team chose to embrace the idea of pixels being the new base for art, as we were designing for an AI generated collection.
Merging Concepts
After both teams presented their concepts, the gallery director decided that she wanted to combine elements of both ideas to be designed and curated.
Managing a Project
My primary job throughout the project was act as a project manager, where I spearheaded conversations with vendors and clients, ensured prototyped designs were advancing on schedule, and acted as a support for team members needing assistance with their specific tasks
Within my role, I was responsible for drafting and distributing cost quote requests, cost estimates, and specification sheets.
I was also responsible for designing description didactics that were set to describe the imagery to give viewers context.
Because we were working with the idea of flowing pixels, I chose to stagger the positioning of the headlines and body copy, but kept the scale and background the same so viewers could associate each piece as a description didactic
Curation
Not only did we design for the exhibit, but we were also tasked with the implementation of our designs into the gallery.
